Woopra Analytics Software Initial Thoughts
April 29, 08 by admin
Woopra has finally granted me access into their beta world of web analytics and boy was that wait well worth it.
Initial pluses:
- Love the ability to set audio alarms when new userrs enter my site and the ability to see where they’re coming from is extremely gratifying. I’ve tracked at least 40 vistors in the 1st 2 hours.
- The onsite chat function is bananas! I had a nice convo with (dot)lizard through the interface. Very nice feature to chat with people you KNOW.
- The application itself is beautiful. Looks like something out of a James Bond movie. Very futuristic.
- World map gives you an at-a-glance look at who’s looking at you.
- Dashboard screen is giving me value intel on what people are searching for via the search engines as well as page views/today’s visits.
Minues:
- None yet.
Overall, I’m loving it. Check back later this week for a full review of the application and service.

that chat is very cool, like those expensive Live Person thingys or the free but not so friendly interface of Crafty Syntax. i don’t use that myself because it’s on my work website, don’t want to scare anyone.
i’m totally happy with the live visitor watching (it’s reassuring to know my navigation works), but i wish i could give feedback on some of the things i see as buggy (like, time works in the individual visits but timeline, in spite of my time zone being set right, is always off). i hope there are opportunities to provide feedback and participate in the development. totally excited by the potential — think what it’s going to be by the time it goes to full release!
