Obama: Spokesman for the Rational?

Watching senator Obama the speak 2 days ago something became clear. I don’t think people want the truth about themselves out there. Obama’s perception of America is that we have a lot of work to do to bring us together. Most White Americans are content with the idea that America is fine. While I agree with what the man is saying fundamentally. I kind of feel that he’s lost some people who’d rather keep the status quo. While rational thinking is not one of America’s higher priorities, I hope I’m wrong.
